IT'S HERE!!!!
Why are you looking at your computer when you could be out at your local comics shop picking up the first issue of Darkwing Duck?
Yes it is finally here. Ian Brill, Aaron Sparrow, the VASTLY underappreciated Andrew Dalhouse and I put a lot of blood, sweat and coffee into making this project all it could be. So far the reviews have been positive, but as Pope Pius IX once said "You ain't seen nuthin' yet".
And if that isn't enough, Comic Book Resources threw out a round of questions for me on the occasion of today's release. You can find my musings here.
Now, go get dangerous.

Dude, just finished the book and I am so glad this moved to an ongoing. I have missed DW for so long. I am the reader that can't wait for the next issue.
ReplyDeleteI went to get a copy today, and they only had a partial order, and I took this as a good thing because of how popular it already is! I'll be getting my copy next week. Maybe comics now, a series or movie next?
ReplyDeleteHey James. Bought issue 1 and flipped through it quickly. Wow! Every page looks impressive. Art is decidedly different from Muppet King Arthur but it's got excitement all over it. Gonna get home, plop down and read it in full. From Angson
ReplyDeleteJust bought my copy at my local shop today and I have to say the book is incredible. The art is amazing (worthy of the original) and the plot line is fun, interesting and better than I hoped for. I found myself grinning the entire time I was reading. So thank you :D
ReplyDeleteCan't wait til next month
How are the sales so far?
ReplyDeleteDo you think you'll bring them up as digital comics? So far no Disney titles are included in the announced titles, I hope you're going to do this because this would allow non-US inhabitants (like me) to buy and enjoy them as well, in a much more easy way.
The shipping fees for Europe are not very cheap...
Thanks for all the great feedback guys. I'm glad you're diggin' it. I'm almost sad that you liked issue 1 so much since it's going to be ground into the dirt by the awsomeness of issue 2.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know I'm trying to get something more definitive on the European market. The official word is that Boom only has distribution rights in the US and that anyone outside should contact Gemstone to get the ball rolling there. Once I hook up with everyone at Comic Con in july I will pry a little more and see if I can't get some extra copies in to the hands of our European friends (no promises but I'll try).
The digital picture is a different story. As some of you know Boom debuted an iPad.iPhone app this week but it did not include the Boom Kids/Disney material. Apparently Disney has it's own comics app So I guess it's a matter of Disney getting the ball rolling and making the current Boom stuff available. As soon as I hear anything, more than likely after Comic Con, I will let you know here.
