I just put Tad Stones' and my part of the annual to bed. And starting tomorrow I have exactly one month to Pencil and ink issues 10 & 11 of DW before I leave for Emerald City Comic Con where I will be doing sketch covers at the Boom Booth. I'll post more details on that as we get closer.
Otherwise this will be a very light month for posting here since I will be drawing approximately 43 hours a day. But I thought a little dip into the sketchbook would hold everyone over until I can make a proper post.
Once in a while you gotta get your superhero ya-ya's out
I watched "Mulan" the other night. Wouldn't a scene like this have been cool?
Still one of my biggest influences. the ORIGINAL Segar strips and the Fleischer cartoons. Anything after that was a neutered imitation.
See above about getting fanboy fetishes out of your system. Man that movie Megatron design really sucked pus.
A little bird wanted me to draw this.
What we cartoony-types do when we think our colleagues aren't working hard enough. This is what happens when Amy Mebberson gets mouthy. But she's keeping real busy with her new Fun-Size blog. Make sure to check it out.
And for my Twitter Follower and new best friend Janice... Is this better?

Ah ah, good joke about Recess ^^ (err...it's a joke, right?) I wish for TaleSpin next, but I bet on new Ducktales comics because the Uncle Scrooge reprints have ended.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, awesome job as usual, and the best of luck for doing two issues in one month!!
Wonderful post once again! I always look forward to seeing your sketches :)
ReplyDeleteOh my - a mention! Now I have to quit being such a lurker & actually comment. ;)
ReplyDeleteYay! Morgana is once again looking fabulous. Granted, it's been like 20 years- but she knew better than to go the cheap plastic surgery route. Good thing she's in better hands now.
Don't forget to e-mail back with the cake address! <3 -Janice
