I'm on the road to Comic Con this week and here's the breakdown for those of you who want art, books or a golden opportunity to punch me in the face.
Where- Amy Mebberson and I will be in Artist's Alley space HH20. That might change if a larger table opens up but I will tweet if there is a last minute move.
Signings- I will be at the BOOM studios booth, #2743. DW Creator Tad Stones, writer Ian Brill and I will be signing on Thursday from 4-5 and Friday from 3-4. I will also be at the Ape Entertainment booth on Saturday from 3-4 and Sunday from 12-12:30 signing copies of their new Richie Rich comics.
Commissions- Amy and I will be taking your sketch requests all throughout the con. Prices start at $20 per character. I look forward to your feeble attempts to stump me with your mashup requests (But no anime suggestions. I'm too old for that stuff)
Books- I will have copies of the first and second DW trades from Kaboom. Any book purchased from me will get a free sketch bookmark.
Sketchbooks- Amy and I will have our first jointly produced sketchbook, filled with ducks, princesses, muppets, dinosaurs and babes. $10 for all the sketchy balderdash you can handle from Mash-Up Studios.
Prints- We will both have original prints for the show. Amy's are listed here.
I will be bringing "Darkwing Through the Ages" and "Dangerous" plus a special surprise print to be unveiled at the show.
Looking forward to meeting you all and sampling your tasty baked goods.

I hope SDCC is going well for you!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I don't live in the USA...
I'd like to thank you for your cool Baloo/Star Wars crossover! I actually think this is the first professional artwork for TaleSpin in 15 years. Which makes it even cooler :)
Talking about that, some of us fans are currently working on a TS Fan Comic. I am doing part of it and already posted the cover and the first page :

What do you think?
We made sure that Jim Hill gave you and Amy a plug. http://jimhillmedia.com/editor_in_chief1/b/jim_hill/archive/2011/07/24/perry-the-platy-bus-amp-adventure-time-themed-restaurant-prove-to-be-popular-at-2011-comic-con-international-2011.aspx
ReplyDeleteThanks for that Darkwing duck "tex avery take". It looks like you had a lot of fun doing the drawing. I wanted to say thanks for doing it. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteJames, I ran by your booth really quick, didnt get much of a chance to see what you had brought, and only saw the Dangerous print... since I had gotten the Terror one at Wondercon I didnt grab it. If I had seen Darkwing through the ages I would have snatched it up so quickly, its AWESOME! What was the other print that you mention was unveiled at the show? I would LOVE to know.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Ill be at D23, will you have any prints or DW books? Thanks for any answers and Ive learned my lesson, at D23 I'm taking time out to come hit you up :)
Hey Gina,
ReplyDeleteThe other print I had was the cover to the DW/DT crossover where everyones looking up. I only made 10.
Unfortunately I won't have any prints at D23. Only official Disney merchandise there, so I'll have books and sketches with the D23 logo. I might have the new trade.
